Cute Daisy May - Lavender and Lace

This week over at Cute Daisy May the theme was Lavender & Lace. Well with a beautiful theme like that I had to use this gorgeous image of Daisy sitting by the wishing well, I really fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it, and if you have too and wish to have it you can find it HERE.

I used some backing papers from my stash along with my trusty Promarkers to colour my image, the Lace I picked up at Hobbycraft. I cut out my hearts using the George cartridge from my Cricut machine and the buttons using a Quickutz die. The border was made using my Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch.

If you fancy playing along, we'd love to see you. I am entering this into the following challenges.

Digital Tuesday - Try a Different Fold
Spoonful of Sugar - Sketch
Stamping for the Weekend - Valentines
Allsorts - Distressed, Buttons and Bow

Dare U to Digi Stamp - Hearts & Valentine

Crazy 4 Challenges - Be MyValentine

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Love & Friendship

Thanks for looking.

Cute Daisy May - Green & Gold

Morning everyone, happy Monday.

This week over at Cute Daisy May the challenge was to make a Green and Gold card. I decided to do one using Linnie's cute little Baby images as I thought it would be lovely for Luke's First Christmas card.
I brought the image into photoshop and added a circular sentiment and border, printed it out and coloured with promarkers. I then matted it on to a nestie cutout. All the papers I have used are again from the new collection by Bearly Mine Designs called Christmas Frolics.
It would be lovely to see you play along with the challenge as we love to see what you create, and don't forget, you don't even have to use a CDM image, and you never know, you could be the winner this week.
Thanks for stopping by.

Twinkle Twinkle

Well another week begins and another week nearer Christmas. Are you all ready yet? No neither am I so I really need to be getting myself into gear.
This week over at Cute Daisy May's the theme is Twinkle Twinkle and as you can see from my card I made it twinkle with all that glitter. All papers were from my stash with the light blue being cuttlebugged using my snowflake folder, unfortunately I can't tell you who makes the patterned paper. The lovely image can be found here on Sheet 67 and you never know, if you enter you could even win yourself this download or any other that takes your fancy. If you are stuck for a bit of inspiration have a look at the DT crds as they are all fabulous again this week, so come on over as we'd love to have you join in.

Easel Wedding Card

Haven't had much time for crafting this week what with getting Benn ready and off for his school trip. He has gone on a rock climbing, caving, canoeing, team building trip to a place called Longrigg up near Kendal. He was really excited about it and I know he will have a great time, even though the weather has been so awful. I am not sure if he will be able to do all the activities as they do seem to be having flood alerts but I am sure it will be great fun still. As all Mums know though, I am missing him like crazy especially as he arrives home on Friday evening as I leave for Malta Friday lunchtime.
I apologise now if I go awol for a while as I have so much still to do getting my packing done along with making sure the boys are set up for while I am away as I can picture it now when it gets to Monday morning and a school tie is missing or something, and I haven't for the life of me any idea on this scheduling lark that other bloggers seem to be good at.
I was asked to make a wedding card so I thought I would use this gorgeous Cute Daisy May image and make an easel card as they are just so cute and really easy to make. The gorgeous image can be found on sheet 74 here. The next card was for a friend who has just had her first baby, and as you can see I have used another Daisy May image which is here.
I do hope that this weather improves for you all while I am away.

Cute Daisy May - Wild Thing

This week over at Cute Daisy May Linnie wanted us to go wild and use a cute animal image. Here is my card which I think fitted the bill even though she is more tame I feel than wild which made me think she would look so sweet on a baby card, she can be found on Sheet 61
I am also entering this card into Crafty Catz challenge where they wanted to see dots on your card.

The papers I have used are all from DCWV Nana's Nursery, ribbon from my stash and I have also used my Martha Stewart Valentine Heart.

We would love to see you come and play along this week, and don't forget, you dont have to use a CDM image Hope to see you again soon.

Cute Daisy May - Blue Christmas

Didn't we have a lousy weekend. I spend all morning yesterday on the sidelines of Benn's football match in the torrential rain. The only good thing was his team won but the boys were absolutely drenched, muddy and cold. This is the only time I don't enjoy being there so don't tend to go quite so much then but as Brian was having to work it was down to me. Never mind the sun is shinning today and it is the start of another new challenge over at Cute Daisy May
Here is my card made for this week's challenge with the theme being Blue Christmas and I have used a cute little boy image for a change and can be found on Sheet 46. The background paper is from a Christmas speciality pack from Kars. I have coloured my image using my faithful Promarkers.

Hope you can join us this week as we would love to see your creations,

Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Card

Whoa ho, it is Friday and I should be getting ready to go out as it is my friends birthday today and we are going for a drink. I don't know about you but doesn't time seem to be just flying at the moment, "almost Christmas" is all I keep hearing but I can't even think about that until I get back from Malta in November. Well I had to take a break from all the Christmas cards I have been making lately and get a birthday card done for Kezia who will be 7 next week. The little image I have used is another Daisy May and can be found on Sheet 83 here and all the papers are from Shabby Princess. She is a real girly girly and is so into Pink and Lilac (aren't we all) so this card will suit her to a tee. I am also entering this into the challenge going on over at Polkadoodles where you had to follow a sketch.
Well must run or I will never make it.

Cute Daisy May & Danni's Dreams Challenge Card

This week over at Cute Daisy May the challenge is Fairy Nuff. Well I couldn't resist this little image as I think she is such a cute little fairy, but looks full of mischief too. She can be found on Sheet 33 over here. I am also entering this at Danni's Dreams where the challenge this week is to use a fairy.
The beautiful background paper was a free download from a very talented lady called Jak Heath over at Crafters Kitchen. I happened to come across Jak's blog while blog hopping and have been an avid follower ever since, so if you get the chance why don't you pop on over and see for yourselves. I coloured my little fairy using Promarkers and then cut her out with a nestibility along with another one using the background paper and voila, Fairy Nuff.

Birthday Card

I hope you are all having a lovely evening, isn't it good that it is Friday. I have had such a busy week that I haven't even had a chance to do any crafting. I thought as kids grew up it would get easier but instead of having more time I seem to have less . Oh well, I won't have many more years to do it so I will make the most of it now while he does still need me to run him around everywhere. I can't believe how grown up he seems to be getting.

Tonight I finally found some time to get a birthday card done for our little Grandson who celebrates his 1st Birthday next week. I had to get it done tonight as I need to get it posted soon otherwise it will not arrive in time, especially if the strikes go ahead.

I have used papers from Nana's Nursery collection by DCWV, and yellow cardstock from my stash. I welded Oscar's name to the 1 using a friends Basecamp Cricut cartridge (thanks Sue). The beautiful image I have used can be found on Sheet 43 over here at Cute Daisy May which I have coloured with my Promarkers. Hope you like it.

Thank you for visiting and have a great weekend.

PS. I have also been playing around in Photoshop to try and show my cards off a bit better with a personalised signature.

Cute Daisy May DT Card - Pink Christmas

Well it is Monday again already which means another Cute Daisy May challenge. This week the challenge is Pink Christmas. What a great challenge eh! It is so nice to see Christmas cards in different colours as opposed to the standard Red & Green, not that I don't like Red & Green
This little image is from Sheet 46 and can be purchased here for £1.99 a sheet and there are lots to choose from. The papers I have used all come from a Nitwit collection called Joyful Hearts. These are great little collections as you not only get papers but you get cute little elements to go with it, as you can see from these little mittens. The paper rose, I made myself using a woodware punch, have I told you that I can't stop making these now that I know how lol.
The rest of the Design Team have come up with the fab cards this week which should give you all loads of inspiration.

Morning everyone, didn't we have a lovely weekend, It felt like we were back to summer which was nice.

This week over at Cute Daisy May the theme is to design a card using a recipe of 1 Ribbon, 2 Buttons and 3 Flowers. Here is the card that popped itself into my head using Linnie's adorable Cat image which can be found on Sheet 43. The papers I have used are all from Craftwork Cards along with the base card. The ribbon started off as plain white grosgrain that I coloured with my Promarkers to match my colour scheme.

Over at Cute Daisy May this week the challenge is Texture. For this card I mat and layered some gorgeous strippy paper then printed out some coordinating mats and embossed them using my cuttlebug folders, Divine Swirls and the new Victoria. I then mat and layered my gorgeous little image after colouring her with my promarkers and then used my Martha Stewart Flourish punch, added a stamped sentiment from Autumn Leaves and a couple of flowers a charm and some card candy and there you have it. This image is so sweet and so pretty for those young ladies in your life and can be found on Sheet 84 along with 3 other adorable images. Wedding Card

I haven't been feeling up to much crafting over the last couple of day, mainly because it is so painful to sit as my burn is right on my waistline, but I did manage to get a wedding card done for some friends of my parents.

I have used papers from my Pink Petticoat CD along with an absolutely fab Cute Daisy May image that just makes those wedding cards so easy and lovely to do.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will return soon.

Remember recently that I told you I had been picked as Guest DT member for the Cute Daisy May Challenge, well here is my first card. This week we were asked to use Pink and ? so I went with Aqua. Each collection is only £1.99 and there are loads of to choose from, well over 90 collections now, pop on over and have a browse but take a cup of tea with you as you will be there for a while.

Exciting News

Not only was it my birthday yesterday but I received the most fantastic news. I recently applied to join the Cute Daisy May as a Guest Designer for 3 months and I received an email to say that I had been successful. I am so excited as I think Linnie's digi designs are adorable, if you haven't seen them yet pop on over as she has over 90 sets available now at only £1.99 each. I love digi designs as they are available instantly after payment and do not take valuable storage space. Come back soon to see me make my debut.
Here is another card I made in Black/Red using the same Tilda as my card the other day. I must admit I love the colours of Black and Red and she is such an adorable image to colour so I made another one out of the spare papers and I think she came out rather cute.

Two postings in one day . . . .

I know, 2 postings in one day what is going on. Well I have been having fun tonight and managed to get my card done for the Friday Sketcher challenge. I have been wanting to do one of these for a while now but Friday seems to come round so quick that I have never managed it. I also wanted to enter the Cute Daisy May challenge as well and as the challenge is Animals I thought great, I can enter both, ha ha.

All the papers are from My Minds Eye (I have rather a lot of this as you have probably gathered) with one of the Easter 2009 Tilda's. I also covered some chipboard flowers with matching cardstock and finished it off with Liquid Pearls.

Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Latest Challenge Card

Where has all the nice weather gone, I feel like we have stepped back into winter and all the thick jumpers have had to come out again. Oh well, let's hope that the weekend is somewhat nicer.
I managed to get my Just Magnolia challenge card done last night which was to follow the sketch set by Rach. The cards that the DT come up with each week are really fantastic and. While blog hopping I just happened to notice that the challenge over at Cute Daisy May this week was to use Pink and Green. Well this card just so happens to fit the bill for both.
All background papers are from DCWV Nana's Nursery stack, a beautiful Magnolia image that my friend Sue stamped for me (she is probably reading this so if I am really lucky she will let me stamp a few more, he, he). I popped her onto a cutout from my Cricut using Home Decor. For anyone that hasn't got that cartridge it is well worth it. The sentiment is one I am proud to say I did myself on the computer even making the words up, I am normally hopeless at this sort of thing but they just popped into my head.

3 Challenges in 1. . . . Yippee

Morning everyone. Here is my card for the Polkadoodle challenge where you had to follow a sketch, I find it so good to do these sketches as it really helps if you are lacking inspiration (and let's face it we all know what that is like, well I do anyway).
I was also able to combine it with the Just Magnolia Challenge as I have used this beautiful Tilda from the new butterfly collection that a lovely friend of mine lent me. The challenge here was not only to use a Magnolia stamp but to include somewhere on your card an insect or animal. Well I chose the butterfly off the Cricut Storybook cartridge.
My third entry is into the Cute Daisy May challenge where the challenge this week was to emboss. I struggled a little with this as it was hard to see the embossing on all the brightly coloured cardstock so I decided to bring Black into my design which then showed the embossing up lovely. I have used the cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder (have I told you that I love this one).
Well must go as work awaits but have a lovely day in the sunshine again.

Cute Daisy May Challenge Card

Well I am pleased to say that my migraine finally subsided during the morning yesterday enabling me to get some crafting done last night - so much for having all this time on my own while Brian was away to get some quality time crafting, well you know what they say about the best laid plans.
This is my card for the Cute Daisy May challenge this week. The requirement for this challenge was Gems.
I used a scalloped card base from Craftwork Cards. The Pink and Green card is Bazzill bling with some scrap multi colour paper that coordinated with the bling really well. I then added the prima flowers and some crystals.
I must say, I have really fallen for these cute little images so will probably bore you all over the coming weeks, especially as I am loving all this colouring with my promarkers, I think it all stems from my 3 brothers always running off with my colouring books. Benn just looks at me with his eyebrows raised - obviously mum sitting colouring images in while sitting in the car waiting for the football to start is definately un-cool.
