Happy Easter

Good morning all

I hope you are having a lovely few days with your families, I know I am.  I have all the family coming tomorrow for a big Easter get together but before then we have fun and frolics with some very good friends to celebrate her birthday.

I don't know about you but I am getting so fed up with the weather that we have been having recently and it has even been snowing a bit again this morning.  It is my 50th birthday this year and it was a really bad year the year I was born with my parents having frozen pipes for 15 weeks through the winter so it looks like it is going to be a repeat lol.

Anyway on to my card.  Another one I have produced using my Cameo, I am so in love with this machine as the things you can do with it are endless.

I think I have used it more times in the last few weeks than I ever did my Cricut.  You can get the most intricate cuts with this and to be able to take any image, trace it and weld it into a shaped card is fantastic.  Well I am sure you all know this anyway so I wont keep boring you with the many pluses of owing one of these as I really need to get out and get my food shopping lol.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Stampin with the Dragon - Easter
4 Crafty Chicks - Easter
Dutch Dare Card Challenge - CAS
Little Miss Muffet - Happy Easter
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Easter
Cuttin & Stampin Challenge - Easter
Our Daily Bread Designs - He is Risen

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon.

Cameo Easel Card

I know two in one day but I am not stopping for long as I am seriously behind now but I just wanted to add this card otherwise I know I will forget.  I have used my Cameo again to cut this out as I love the little easel stand.  The Scalloped base and stand was a freebie cutting file from Sue Lough.  The blue and white layers were cut out using my spellbinders.  All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts combined with a Hunkydory diecut image.  Well that its so I must get on but see you again very soon.

Pink Birthday

Hi everyone

Well we are now into March.  Am I the only one thinking where on earth this year is going.  It seems to get quicker every year and I really don't want this one to go quite as quick as it will be my big birthday in August, yes that's right my big 50th.  Oh dear I do sound old now don't I ha ha.

Enough of that though as I do still have a few months before that happens so onto my card.  I am really hooked on these Saturated Canary digi-stamps and have used another for my card.  Hope you like it.

Well I had best get a move on as I have so much to do today and then I am out for dinner so I will catch up with you all again very soon with another card I made on my Cameo (I am so loving this machine, so much easier than the Cricut and you can do soooo much more.  I am waiting for the postman to come and visit me as I have some sketch pens and items to do some rhinestone t-shirts on there way so watch this space.

Hubby's Valentine

Today I am going to show you a card that I have made to give my lovely hubby for Valentines.

I have again been playing with my new Cameo and downloaded the white scalloped lace heart from the SIL store.  I cut this out using Centura Pearl card from Crafters Companion and using my new found knowledge I created a shadow layer.  This layer was then duplicated and welded into an easel card.  The sentiment is another file that I shadowed and I also made a mat for the bottom part.  The image is another gorgeous Saturated Canary which is my latest must have lol.  I have coloured her using my Spectrum Noir Pens, added a ribbon and some Wild Orchid flowers and hey presto, its finished.  I hope he likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.

I am entering this into the following challenges.

Cameo Birthday

Well where is the time going.  I don't know about you but it is going far too fast for my liking.

Today I am sharing a birthday card with you that I have cut out using my new Silhouette Cameo with a free cut file from Sue Lough.  I cut the sentiment tag on the back using the print and cut method (I love being able to type your text then get the machine to cut your sentiment out in a shape).  The yellow circle was cut using my Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles.

I have been looking at the Cameo for ages as I loved my Cricut but found I was very restricted for images as it was getting so costly buying cartridges when I was only wanting one image off it.  Another thing I found was that not every image/font came with a shadow and this was a real bug bear as I do like my mats/shadows.  I also found that this machine was capable of producing such intricate cuts after finding out as much about it as I could.  So I finally caved in and this is my first project.  Yes I know it's not that intricate but oh the cuts are sooooo much better plus I will (once I've studied it a bit better) be able to incorporate it with all my CDs and CraftArtist files which will be brilliant.  Now I just have to master making my own designs, rhinestone designs etc, oh where will it end.

Hope you like it.  Anyway, I am entering this into the following challenges.

Dies to Die For - Die-ing for a Challenge
Saturated Canary - Colours
Creative Cutting Challenge - Birthdays
Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Fancy Edges

Happy Christmas

Well I am finally ready for Christmas, are you.

Here is a card I made for my brother who celebrated his birthday recently.  He is a music teacher and drummer so I thought that this image would be perfect for him.  He is also an massive "Rush" fan so I found some words from one of their songs that fitted this occasion (he knew the song immediately I was pleased to say.  I am going to enter this into the Passion for Promarker Mega challenge where they want to see the word "HAPPY" so I thought this would do nicely.

Well I am now about to go off to my bed as I am shattered but I would like to take the time to wish each and everyone of my followers a very Happy Christmas and to say thank you for visiting me, I know I haven't been around much this year but unfortunately too many things in life have come along to prevent me from doing much blogging but I am hoping that life will be a little kinder next year enabling me to spend a little bit more time on here chatting to you all.

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon, night, night.

16th Birthday

Hi All

I know it's been a long time, unfortunately life has been getting in the way.

This is the birthday card I made for my son who turned 16.  I used a fabulous Kenny K image as he is now attending college doing music which he loves and as it is the drums he plays I thought that this image would be ideal.  I used my Cricut machine and Gypsy to make the base card where I used Base Camp for the letters.

Hope you like it.  I am entering this into the following challenges:

Designed to Colour - 1000th Fan Giveaway (Celebrate)
Crafts for Eternity - Numbers
QKR Stampede - Birthday Clebration
PaperPlay Challenges - Fancy Folds
Addicted to Stamps - Use Markers
