Cute Daisy May DT Card - Recipe 123

Morning everyone, didn't we have a lovely weekend, It felt like we were back to summer which was nice.

This week over at Cute Daisy May the theme is to design a card using a recipe of 1 Ribbon, 2 Buttons and 3 Flowers. Here is the card that popped itself into my head using Linnie's adorable Cat image which can be found on Sheet 43. The papers I have used are all from Craftwork Cards along with the base card. The ribbon started off as plain white grosgrain that I coloured with my Promarkers to match my colour scheme.

Pop over to the challenge blog to join in this week and you never know you may even be the winner.

Thanks for stopping by and come back again soon.

Naming Day Card

I was asked if I could make a naming day card for a lady to give to her Grandson, she didn't want anything religious but all she could tell me was that he liked dinosaurs so hopefully this fits the bill. The background paper is from DCWV Nana's Nursery and Bazzill. I used my Cricut machine and Paper Dolls cartridge to make the dinosaur, caveman and tree.
Hope you like and thanks for stopping by.

Have you popped over to the Cute and Girly Challenge Blog yet and signed up to be a follower, and you may even become the winner of that fab make up set that Jane has so kindly put up as a prize. Don't forget that the first challenge starts on 1st October so it would be lovely to see as many of you as possible enter.

Cute Daisy May Challenge

Over at Cute Daisy May this week the challenge is Texture. For this card I mat and layered some gorgeous strippy paper then printed out some coordinating mats and embossed them using my cuttlebug folders, Divine Swirls and the new Victoria. I then mat and layered my gorgeous little image after colouring her with my promarkers and then used my Martha Stewart Flourish punch, added a stamped sentiment from Autumn Leaves and a couple of flowers a charm and some card candy and there you have it. This image is so sweet and so pretty for those young ladies in your life and can be found on Sheet 84 along with 3 other adorable images. This card is going to be for my 7 year old step grandaughter as it so reminds me of her. If you haven't come across Linnie's designs yet then you need to get on over there as they are delightful and are only £1.99 per sheet. The beauty of digital images is that you have no storage problems, can resize them to whatever size you wish and you have them for life.
Thanks for stopping by but don't forget, pop on over there and have a go at this weeks challenge.

Just Magnolia Challenge & By the Cute and Girly

As a lot of you know I burnt my stomach last week and have been in a lot of pain as it is quite a large burn just below my waistline which has made it really hard to sit, let alone craft. Well yesterday I felt a bit better so thought I would have a go at making a card and as I already had this cute little Magnolia image coloured I thought I would use that, I have also used some scrummy Magnolia papers that I bought along with the image with my birthday money. The sentiment is a Quickutz rub on. So hope you like it as I am entering it into this weeks Just Magnolia challenge where the theme is to follow a sketch.

Also for those that missed my earlier post, Jane (Jem's Crafting Blog) has started a new challenge blog called "By the Cute and Girly" where the focus is on having fun and I was asked by Jane if I would join her DT along with some very, very talented ladies (looking forward to playing with you girls). Jane started this challenge so that all you crafty people can showcase all your creations, whether it be a card, flower arrangements, knitted garment, scrapbook page. Well basically anything that you have made yourself. The challenge will run each month and there are some fab prizes up for grabs and some great sponsors. If you haven't yet become a follower then hop on over there and sign up, and we will look forward to seeing what you all come up with.
Thanks for stopping by.

Wedding Card

I haven't been feeling up to much crafting over the last couple of day, mainly because it is so painful to sit as my burn is right on my waistline, but I did manage to get a wedding card done for some friends of my parents.

I have used papers from my Pink Petticoat CD along with an absolutely fab Cute Daisy May image that just makes those wedding cards so easy and lovely to do.

Thanks for stopping by and hope you will return soon.

Exciting News

Guess what, a lovely lady who I have met through blogging, and fellow DT member known as Jem has set up a brand new challenge blog called By The Cute and Girly, and I have been asked to be one of the DT members. I am really honoured to have been asked as I think Jane is a real inspiration and extremely talented, apart from being a really nice person. This challenge blog will appeal to a variety of crafters as you dont have to just stick to making cards, this will be a challenge blog with minimal rules. To start things off Jane has some candy to give away and very GIRLY. You can find the blog here, so pop over there, become a follower so you keep up to date with it, and we look forward to you all joining in.

Birthday Card

This card was made for an online buddy's birthday. The image is a Lily-Boo one from Collection 5, the Circles. I have coloured it in using my promarkers adding a nice layerig of glitter for the frosting and matt and layered onto card and papers I had in my stash.

As some of you know my Mother in Law has not been too well since her stroke last October (she is 82) and was rushed back into hospital on bank holiday Monday. Well I am pleased to say that she is going to be allowed home today which is good. But due to this I have been running backwards and forward to the hospital and this week my hubby has gone down with a fluey stomach bug (not swine flu thank god).

Well what with looking after him, running around after Benn and visiting MIL I have not had time to make hubby an anniversary card as today is our 20th Wedding Anniversary. I have managed to do a few challenge cards but I had wanted to make a lovely one for him being as it is a special year but my Mojo had completely gone missing and everytime I have started to make one nothing went right. Well the day has arrived and I still haven't got it done so late last night I had to go an buy one but being the wonderful hubby that he is said "don't worry, I understand". Well all I can hope is that my mojo returns through the day.

Remember recently that I told you I had been picked as Guest DT member for the Cute Daisy May Challenge, well here is my first card. This week we were asked to use Pink and ? so I went with Aqua. These images are just so cute and have been hand drawn by Linnie, perfect for an anniversary card don't you think. Each collection is only £1.99 and there are loads of to choose from, well over 90 collections now, pop on over and have a browse but take a cup of tea with you as you will be there for a while.
I coloured my image using my Promarkers, mat and layered some papers I had in my stash. The pink card was cuttlebugged using Divine Swirls, I then added a computer generated sentiment and finished it off with a couple of coordinating ribbons.
Thanks for stopping by.

Lily-Boo's Halloween Collection - Available Now

You know I showed you a sneak preview last week of the new image collection from Lily-Boo's Boutique, well you don't have to wait anymore as these are now available to purchase in the boutique. They are really sweet images and have captured the excitement of Halloween to a tee.
I really enjoyed using this collection as I was able to use lovely bright colours. It reminded me of when my son was a baby and it seemed the only clothes you could buy for boys were in black and blue but me being me wanted him in bright. Well Adam's suddenly brought in their bright range and I think I bought them out with their Fluorescent Orange and Green outfits, especially those cute little bib and brace short trousers, I loved him in them. Oh well enough reminiscing.
All the background papers are from my stash. I cuttlebugged the orange card using the halloween folder, cut out some bats using my Cricut Paper Dolls cartridge and added one of my own sentiment circles - I am loving making these little beauties.

Just Magnolia Challenge, Spoonful of Sugar & Friday Sketchers

This card is for some friends who are celebrating their Coral wedding anniversary. I was also able to fit this into 3 challenges this week starting with the Just Magnolia where the criteria was ribbons and bows. The second challenge is for Spoonful of Sugar that wanted distressing and the third and final one is for Friday Sketchers where you had to follow the sketch using Blue and Orange.I am really pleased with how this came out and I think the Magnolia image is just adorable. I also added Flower Soft to the roses just to make them touchy feely.
Thanks for stopping by.
