Polkadoodle Challenge

This week over at Polkadoodles the challenge is to make a card with an envelope format, and after seeing this cute little image over at Digital Delights thought how perfect it would be for this challenge. I coloured the image with my promarkers and then scaled my background paper from Bearly Mine using the computer to add an insert to my envelope. The lovely ticket sentiment was another freebie from Bizzy Becs.
Hope you have a good week .

Birthday Card

Whoa ho, it is Friday and I should be getting ready to go out as it is my friends birthday today and we are going for a drink. I don't know about you but doesn't time seem to be just flying at the moment, "almost Christmas" is all I keep hearing but I can't even think about that until I get back from Malta in November. Well I had to take a break from all the Christmas cards I have been making lately and get a birthday card done for Kezia who will be 7 next week. The little image I have used is another Daisy May and can be found on Sheet 83 here and all the papers are from Shabby Princess. She is a real girly girly and is so into Pink and Lilac (aren't we all) so this card will suit her to a tee. I am also entering this into the challenge going on over at Polkadoodles where you had to follow a sketch.
Well must run or I will never make it.

Polkadoodle Challenge 7

This week over at Polkadoodles the challenge was to use some fruit on your card along with a hidden element. I tried to find a fruit other than cherries as this is what most of the design team had used but I was out of luck. I am really into cupcakes at the moment so I cut out this beauty from the celebrations cartridge twice, in pink, I then cut out the cupcake holder in patterned card and the frosting in pale pink. I then glittered the frosting and diamond glazed the cherries adding a brad behind the cherry so that the front cupcake could swing away to reveal the poem. All papers used were from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by.

Couple More Lily-Boo Cards

Morning everyone. How are you coping with the lovely weather we are having. I must admit I am finding it really tough at night as it feels like months since I had good night's sleep as I am struggling with my hayfever as well as the heat. It has been really busy over here recently what with final preparations for my parent's 50th Anniversary, ferrying Benn to all his activities and hospital visits to see my Mother-in-Law, but the good news is she is going to be home either today or tomorrow they have told me, and I have also had a phone call from my brother to say he will be arriving from Australia on the 17th (Can't wait).

Well back to today's cards. Here are a couple of Lily-Boo cards to give you some inspiration as to what you can do using Sam's great images.

The first one is using Collection 9 Boys and Their Toys coloured in with Promarkers. The football background paper is a download from Nitwits.

This image is from Collection 18 Betty & Friends 1 with a freebie paper from Polkadoodles (you may remember me using it for my Owl house challenge card. The other paper is from the Glitter Stack by DCWV

Polkadoodle Challenge 5

Here is a card that I made last night for my Mum's birthday at the beginning of July. I had gone round there to say goodbye to her as she was going off for a fortnight on a cruise around Norway with her sister-in-law while my Dad stays at home. It was only then that I realised that she would be away for her birthday and I hadn't made her card yet. So after rushing home and getting dinner I proceeded to make this card for her.
It was also then that I thought I hadn't yet done my card for the Polkadoodle challenge and thought this would be perfect with having flowers on it (she does like her flowers), so here it is
All the papers are Daisy Bucket (Whimsical Ladies) with a cute magnolia image. I cut the ovals on my cricut by stretching the circle on Mini Monograms and I finally got a chance to use my lovely new Martha Stewart punch. The greetings are computer generated.
Hope you enjoyed looking.

Polkadoodle Challenge 4

Here is my entry for the Polkadoodle challenge. This week we had to follow the sketch but also use the free paper that was also provided. This was a tough challenge, especially after looking at the awesome creations the DT had done. I decided that I would make the card into a bird house and have the message on a separate card that pulls out, this then gave me a chance to make a card using the wonderful Lily-boo digital images called the Twit Too Collection. These have been created by a very talented lady called Sam and all sets can be purchased for £1.99, pop on over there and have a nosy at all the collections as they are fab. All other papers are digital downloads from daisiecompany.com. I have also edged the papers with my Fiskars Threading Water punch.

Cupcake Circle

I have been busy today making a card to enter into this week's Polkadoodles challenge. The main image is the adorable cupcake circle from Lily-Boo's Boutique, isn't it adorable, if you haven't yet visited why don't you pop on over. All the papers I have used are digital downloads from a site call Nitwit Collections. I came across this site by a couple of the ladies on the Cricut MB and it is definately worth checking out as you get a lot for your money, the collections range from $2.99 up to $8.99.

3 Challenges in 1. . . . Yippee

Morning everyone. Here is my card for the Polkadoodle challenge where you had to follow a sketch, I find it so good to do these sketches as it really helps if you are lacking inspiration (and let's face it we all know what that is like, well I do anyway).
I was also able to combine it with the Just Magnolia Challenge as I have used this beautiful Tilda from the new butterfly collection that a lovely friend of mine lent me. The challenge here was not only to use a Magnolia stamp but to include somewhere on your card an insect or animal. Well I chose the butterfly off the Cricut Storybook cartridge.
My third entry is into the Cute Daisy May challenge where the challenge this week was to emboss. I struggled a little with this as it was hard to see the embossing on all the brightly coloured cardstock so I decided to bring Black into my design which then showed the embossing up lovely. I have used the cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder (have I told you that I love this one).
Well must go as work awaits but have a lovely day in the sunshine again.
