Passion for Promarkers

Here is my challenge card for Passion for Promarkers where you had to use at least 2 colours out of Lilac, Lavender, Amethyst and Aubergine. For mine I used Lilac and Amethyst. I haven't been entering the challenges recently due to time restraints but I have made a challenge to myself that I will start to do more.
All papers are from Pink Petticoat and the adorable image was a lovely little freebie from Sketching Stamper where Chris designs some truly beautiful designs. If you haven't seen them yet then pop on over. I have purchased some of these in the past and I can honestly say that they are so easy to colour and really versatile. I added some ribbons from my stash and a computer generated sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by.

Exciting News Lily-Boo Challenge 1 Started

Here is my first DT challenge card for the new Lily-Boo Challenge Blog. This challenge will be running for a month to enable all you busy crafters time to get your entries in. For our first challenge we are asking you to create a New Home card using a recipe of 4 brads, 3 flowers and 2 ribbons. The lucky winner (chosen by the DT) will have a pick of 2 Lily-Boo's image sheet downloads, and if you would like to play along but don't have a suitable image, Sam is even giving you free download too. Not bad eh!
My papers are by Basic Grey from the Sugared collection. I cut out 3 other flowers from the background paper and added a cute little flower brad to them. For the image I cut out 2 scalloped circles, one in burgandy and one in green and joined them together using my fourth brad. I then added my sentiment to the green one behind and the cute little image to the front added my 2 ribbons and there you have it.
We would love to see you playing along and I can't wait to see what you clever crafters will come up with.

Exciting News

Not only was it my birthday yesterday but I received the most fantastic news. I recently applied to join the Cute Daisy May as a Guest Designer for 3 months and I received an email to say that I had been successful. I am so excited as I think Linnie's digi designs are adorable, if you haven't seen them yet pop on over as she has over 90 sets available now at only £1.99 each. I love digi designs as they are available instantly after payment and do not take valuable storage space. Come back soon to see me make my debut.
Here is another card I made in Black/Red using the same Tilda as my card the other day. I must admit I love the colours of Black and Red and she is such an adorable image to colour so I made another one out of the spare papers and I think she came out rather cute.

Thank You

Well it is nearly the end of my birthday but I can honestly say that even though I had to go to work and then straight onto standing on the sidelines of a football pitch in the pouring rain watching Benn at training, I had a very nice day. I got lots of lovely pressies and lots of lovely cards. I am very lucky that I have made some really nice cyber buddies who have sent me lots of good wishes and some beautiful cards, so I would really love to thank each and everyone of you, it has meant so much to me. Here are the wonderful card I have received from the lovely girls over on the Cricut MB, aren't they gorgeous.

Birthday Card

Here's a very quick one that I made for Benn to give to his brother who was celebrating his birthday yesterday. I used a Craftwork Cards cardbase along with Stampin Up card, for anyone who hasn't used SU card I must say how good it is. The A4 pack is so smooth and fantastic for stamping and the 12x12 has a lovely texture. They both come in lovely colour packs. The little image is an Elzybells stamp (isn't he cute). All I did then was add a computer generated image, some card candy and had a little doodle around the edges. I hope he likes it.

Anniversary Card

My mum asked me if I could make a card for some very good friends of theirs as it will be their Coral anniversary next week. I decided that I would make a card to match the little box of notelets that I made last week for her as the colours were just right for coral, especially as mum fell in love with the notelet box exclaiming "wow I would have loved one of them to give to Carmela" - so Mum, if you are reading this I got the hint and here is the card to go with it LOL.

Forever Friends

I really enjoyed making this card as I love the colour combination of red, black and white. I used a Craftwork Cards base card along with the red/black and the white/black dotty papers, these are their new ones from their Best of British range layered on red and black Bazzill cardstock. I them stamped an Autumn Leaves sentiment circle, popped my adorable Tilda (after having coloured her in using my promarkers) on to a Nestibilities scalloped square, added some ribbon and a couple of flowers and there you have it.

I am entering this into 3 challenges: 1.) I love Promarkers (to follow a Sketch), 2. Just Magnolia (Friendship) and 3. Just Magnolia Monthly Challenge (3D Work)

Thanks for looking.

Tilda with Sunflower

Here is another birthday card that I made for another online friend as it was her birthday yesterday, so if you are reading this Happy Birthday Sandra. I have used the Tilda with Sunflower stamp that I was lucky enough to stamp out at my scrapbooking crop. The lady that runs our class has never really been into making cards but one week I had brought along my tildas (I had really fallen in love with these little sweeties). I was telling her how addicted I was to them and she said she couldn't see what all the fuss was about. Anyhow to cut a long story short, the following month when I arrived she was so excited to show me all hers LOL! and when I say all hers, I mean a lot more than I have. Since then she is well and truly hooked.
I have coloured Tilda in using my promarkers and layered her onto Pink Bazzill cardstock and some Pink Petticoat papers from the Spring Wishes collection (I love Pink Petticoat papers as they are just so fresh and pretty, I just wish I could do them more justice but I am hoping to get a new printer soon which should solve the problem).

Birthday Wishes

Here is another card I have made using the Lily-Boo Circle Boys Collection and WeR Memory Keepers (Pewter Press Collection). I have had these papers in my stash for a while now and thought how well they went with Sam's adorable images.
It has been really strange since the excitement of my parents 50th and my brother going home. I have been having a hard job getting my mojo back especially as I have so many cards that I need to be doing. I normally struggle in August anyway as it seems everyone and his family have a birthday or anniversary during this month so this isn't helping.Oh well, I feel more positive now so I had better go get myself a coffee, get myself in front of my desk and CRAFT.

Birthday Card

Today was a very special birthday for one of my cyber friends called Rosy, it was her 40th and to celebrate the occasion I made her this card.
I cut the letters out using my beloved cricut with the Pooh font. The papers were cupcakes from Crafts House. I ran my embossing tool on the back of the letters to shape them and then added silicone glue to make them pop. The background papers are Bazzill and I used my Doily Lace punch.

Another for the boys

Here is another card using one of the other images from Lily-Boo's Boy collection. I have used background papers from the Kickit collection by Nitwits along with some computer generated words for the Happy Birthday. I have quite a few male birthdays this month so these will be ideal as it is always a struggle to know what to do for those men in your life.

DT Card for Lily-Boo's Boutique

I gave you a little sneak peak of my DT card for Lilyboo's using one of Sam's new collection for the boys. This collection is great for the boys as I always find them a struggle, having these images though makes the whole process so much easier. You can purchase these images here at £1.99 for six, making it great value for money. Pop over to the DT Inspiration blog to see all the other fab creations that the other members have come up with. I will be adding more cards in time so keep checking back as it is lovely having you visit, and don't forget we shall be having a challenge blog in the very near future so it would be lovely to see what you all come up with and there will be some great prizes to give away.
All papers used are by Memory Keepers (Precious Metal), with the base card from Card Creations. The silver brads are Card Candy by Craftwork Cards.
Thanks for looking.

Just a note - Polkadoodle Challenge

A while ago I saw a lovely little notelet box designed by a very talented lady called Sarah at Card Oasis , go and check out her blog as she designs some fantastic work. Well I really fell in love with this, and thought how great it would be for those times where time is short but you need a little present to be able to give someone, and what better than a little box of notelets. It was while visiting another of my favourite blogs that I noticed Paul at Crafty Blogocks (another very talented person) had done one too but had changed the dimensions slightly to fit 10cm x 10cm cards. Paul very kindly forwarded me these dimensions as I was wanting to do one for a friend and this is a great size card for notelets. Well here is my version, I have used SU and Basic Grey papers and card candy from Craftwork Cards. Pop on over to Sarah and Paul's blogs to see their great work, but I recommend making a cup of tea first as you will be glued to you computer screen for quite a while.
I have entered this into the Polkadoodle challenge this week as the theme was you needed to make a card or project which was also a gift. Hope you enjoy looking.

Great News

I have some great news to share with you. I told you recently that Lily-Boo's Boutique were updating their DT and guess what, yes you've guessed it, I have been chosen again for the next 6 months. For those of you that haven't come across Lily-Boo's yet, then pop on over there and have a nosy as Sam, the designer, has created some fantastic downloads and at only £1.99 per collection they are a real treat and so easy and great to work with.
With this I would like to say a big hello to all the other lovely members especially the new ladies called Jem, Katie, Emma, and Ann and look foward to seeing their lovely creations.
We are soon going to be having a challenge blog which is a work in progress at the moment but keep checking back and I will let you know as soon as it is ready.
On another note you will all be pleased to know that I have found my rings, yippee. I think I am still in shock but so pleased as I really thought I would never see them again.
For those of you who have missed my cards while I have been away I am now getting down to some crafting (I am leaving for the airport in half an hour to say goodbye to my brother) from tomorrow, so pop back soon.
