Happy Easter

Good morning all

I hope you are having a lovely few days with your families, I know I am.  I have all the family coming tomorrow for a big Easter get together but before then we have fun and frolics with some very good friends to celebrate her birthday.

I don't know about you but I am getting so fed up with the weather that we have been having recently and it has even been snowing a bit again this morning.  It is my 50th birthday this year and it was a really bad year the year I was born with my parents having frozen pipes for 15 weeks through the winter so it looks like it is going to be a repeat lol.

Anyway on to my card.  Another one I have produced using my Cameo, I am so in love with this machine as the things you can do with it are endless.

I think I have used it more times in the last few weeks than I ever did my Cricut.  You can get the most intricate cuts with this and to be able to take any image, trace it and weld it into a shaped card is fantastic.  Well I am sure you all know this anyway so I wont keep boring you with the many pluses of owing one of these as I really need to get out and get my food shopping lol.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Stampin with the Dragon - Easter
4 Crafty Chicks - Easter
Dutch Dare Card Challenge - CAS
Little Miss Muffet - Happy Easter
The Sisterhood of Crafters - Easter
Cuttin & Stampin Challenge - Easter
Our Daily Bread Designs - He is Risen

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon.

Cameo Easel Card

I know two in one day but I am not stopping for long as I am seriously behind now but I just wanted to add this card otherwise I know I will forget.  I have used my Cameo again to cut this out as I love the little easel stand.  The Scalloped base and stand was a freebie cutting file from Sue Lough.  The blue and white layers were cut out using my spellbinders.  All the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts combined with a Hunkydory diecut image.  Well that its so I must get on but see you again very soon.

Pink Birthday

Hi everyone

Well we are now into March.  Am I the only one thinking where on earth this year is going.  It seems to get quicker every year and I really don't want this one to go quite as quick as it will be my big birthday in August, yes that's right my big 50th.  Oh dear I do sound old now don't I ha ha.

Enough of that though as I do still have a few months before that happens so onto my card.  I am really hooked on these Saturated Canary digi-stamps and have used another for my card.  Hope you like it.

Well I had best get a move on as I have so much to do today and then I am out for dinner so I will catch up with you all again very soon with another card I made on my Cameo (I am so loving this machine, so much easier than the Cricut and you can do soooo much more.  I am waiting for the postman to come and visit me as I have some sketch pens and items to do some rhinestone t-shirts on there way so watch this space.

Hubby's Valentine

Today I am going to show you a card that I have made to give my lovely hubby for Valentines.

I have again been playing with my new Cameo and downloaded the white scalloped lace heart from the SIL store.  I cut this out using Centura Pearl card from Crafters Companion and using my new found knowledge I created a shadow layer.  This layer was then duplicated and welded into an easel card.  The sentiment is another file that I shadowed and I also made a mat for the bottom part.  The image is another gorgeous Saturated Canary which is my latest must have lol.  I have coloured her using my Spectrum Noir Pens, added a ribbon and some Wild Orchid flowers and hey presto, its finished.  I hope he likes it as much as I enjoyed making it.

I am entering this into the following challenges.

Craft your Passion - Valentine

Cameo Birthday

Well where is the time going.  I don't know about you but it is going far too fast for my liking.

Today I am sharing a birthday card with you that I have cut out using my new Silhouette Cameo with a free cut file from Sue Lough.  I cut the sentiment tag on the back using the print and cut method (I love being able to type your text then get the machine to cut your sentiment out in a shape).  The yellow circle was cut using my Spellbinders Grand Decorative Circles.

I have been looking at the Cameo for ages as I loved my Cricut but found I was very restricted for images as it was getting so costly buying cartridges when I was only wanting one image off it.  Another thing I found was that not every image/font came with a shadow and this was a real bug bear as I do like my mats/shadows.  I also found that this machine was capable of producing such intricate cuts after finding out as much about it as I could.  So I finally caved in and this is my first project.  Yes I know it's not that intricate but oh the cuts are sooooo much better plus I will (once I've studied it a bit better) be able to incorporate it with all my CDs and CraftArtist files which will be brilliant.  Now I just have to master making my own designs, rhinestone designs etc, oh where will it end.

Hope you like it.  Anyway, I am entering this into the following challenges.

Dies to Die For - Die-ing for a Challenge
Saturated Canary - Colours
Creative Cutting Challenge - Birthdays
Whimsy Stamps Challenge - Fancy Edges

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon

Happy Christmas

Well I am finally ready for Christmas, are you.

Here is a card I made for my brother who celebrated his birthday recently.  He is a music teacher and drummer so I thought that this image would be perfect for him.  He is also an massive "Rush" fan so I found some words from one of their songs that fitted this occasion (he knew the song immediately I was pleased to say.  I am going to enter this into the Passion for Promarker Mega challenge where they want to see the word "HAPPY" so I thought this would do nicely.

Well I am now about to go off to my bed as I am shattered but I would like to take the time to wish each and everyone of my followers a very Happy Christmas and to say thank you for visiting me, I know I haven't been around much this year but unfortunately too many things in life have come along to prevent me from doing much blogging but I am hoping that life will be a little kinder next year enabling me to spend a little bit more time on here chatting to you all.

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon, night, night.

16th Birthday

Hi All

I know it's been a long time, unfortunately life has been getting in the way.

This is the birthday card I made for my son who turned 16.  I used a fabulous Kenny K image as he is now attending college doing music which he loves and as it is the drums he plays I thought that this image would be ideal.  I used my Cricut machine and Gypsy to make the base card where I used Base Camp for the letters.

Hope you like it.  I am entering this into the following challenges:

Cricut Birthday

I know another post from me I hear you say.  Well it is a glorious morning here and I've been up for a while so I thought I would show you another Birthday Card I have made (sorry for the rubbish photo).  This card is for someone who is mad on Eeyore so I decided to get my trusty Gypsy and Cricut out and make a shaped card for her incorporating her initial and the adorable baby Eeyore from the Pooh Font cartridge. All the flowers are from WOC as usual.

Hope she likes it.

Special Friend

Good evening everyone

Hope you have all been keeping well.

First of all I have had lots of problems with my PC recently but I've finally got it back - I am seriously thinking that a new one is required as it has been giving me problems on and off for a while now and I'm fed up with keeping having it fixed, on top of that Brian hasn't been very good, so much so that the Doctor signed him straight off for a month yesterday as his blood pressure had gone through the roof.  I am so pleased as I have been worried sick and scared that he may have another stroke so I just want him home resting and relaxing now.

On top of all this Benn has started his GCSE's and gosh I think I am more nervous than him.  It is only 2 weeks until he turns 16 and boy am I starting to feel old.  He seems so grown up and knows exactly what he wants to do in life.  It won't be long now until he will be starting the next phase of his life and attending college as he made the choice of going there first then university rather than staying on at school.  So lots of change on the horizon.

I have been busy creating though, and here's one of them, a birthday card for a very good friend.  Hope you like it.

I have used some Stampin Up papers from my stash along with one of the adorable Paintbox Poppet images.  All the flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

4 Crafty Chicks - Only stamping allowed is the Sentiment
Crafters Companion - Here comes Summer
Little Miss Muffet - Flowers

60th Birthday

Hi everyone

Hope everyone had a good Easter, we did but it was just a little bit busy as Brian celebrated his birthday on Sunday too.  He coped quite well but had to go to bed in the afternoon as it started to disorientate him having so many people in the house, this is just one of the things he cant cope with since his strokes but he had a good time though which is the main thing.

Well I thought I would just pop on and share with you another Easel Card Box I was asked to make for a 60th Birthday.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Spring Birthday

Not bad eh, I have actually made another card and I'm hoping to get a bit of time over the weekend to have a play, after I have washed and groomed the dog that is but I think I am finally getting my mojo back, I hope so as I have so many birthdays this month and they are all boys, yikes!!.

The gorgeous papers are from Nitwits, I think it is the Val'n'tine one and the image is a SWALK one from Crafters Companion (I love these images, they are so cute).  The lovely diecut is a Marianne Die (my favourite) and the flower is from Wild Orchid Crafts.

My Latest Craze - Jewellery Making

I thought I would show you some ChainMaille jewellery that I have been making recently.  I saw this technique a while back using jump rings and must admit to being slightly hooked , it has also got me itching to do a bit more jewellery making as I found it was quite therapeutic when I had lost my mojo for cardmaking.  At least now I will have something else to do when I am lost for inspiration when making cards.

Sorry about the rubbishy photos , yes that is another thing on my evergrowing list of things I "NEED" a decent camera lol.

Hope you like them and thanks for stopping by.

Mother's Day

Hi all,

well I realise it has been a long time since I have been on here but with everything going on in my life over the last year something had to give and that was blogging.  I have though been busy with personal requests but found it a struggle to get the inspiration or inclanation to just craft for fun.  Well I am pleased to say that I have started to get itchy feet again and have made an Easel card for my Mum for Mother's Day (I can't believe I have actually bought cards recently as I couldn't be bothered to make them lol) using some fabulous free papers that I found over at Lena Scraps.  Aren't they just gorgeous, the beautiful bow was also a freebie.

Sentiments - Pink Petticoat "Lovely Mum Sentiments"
Embellishments - Wild Orchid Crafts

I am going to enter this into the following challenges.

Christening Card

Hello everyone, I can't believe how quick the weeks are going at the moment not only is it just over 14 weeks until Christmas it is only 28 weeks until Benn and his friends have to sit their exams., how can that happen, I'm sure it was only a few weeks ago that he started school lol.  Well that's how it feels anyway.

I also can't believe that in this day and age people can be held as slaves or that it could happen where I live. The whole town is shocked to think that this was happening right under our noses to these poor peole and why the police left it so long from when they were first made aware to finally raiding the place.  All I can say is thank god they did though as it is absolutely shocking and so sad, I had never seen so many police around as there were last Sunday.

Well I know I haven't been blogging much lately but I haven't been very well, I have been suffering lots of migraines.  Saying that I haven't been slacking either as I have still had to get a few customer orders done but haven't had the time or indeed the enthusiasm to download them from my camera yet but I thought it was about time I updated my blog as I hadn't realised how long I have neglected it.

Here is a christening card that I was asked to do a couple of months ago but haven't had a chance to show you (see I told you I was pretty bad at downloading my photos didn't I).

I am going to enter this into the following challenges.

Crafty Ribbon - Anything Goes

Well onto my card today.  I was asked to make a wedding card and as I have been seeing a lot of these near white ones I thought I would have a go.  I must admit I am really plesased with how it came out, what do you think?

18th Exploding Box Card

Hi crafters

Just a quickie as I am off to bed now as I am off to Stamperama in Stevenage tomorrow so need to be up early.  I didn't get to the April one or the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking show what with Brian having had his stroke at the end of the year, so am really looking forward to it.

I did this exploding box for a friends daughter for her 18th and have since had 3 more commisions for them.  I used the same papers that I used a few weeks back for my Mum's birthday card as I really love them (Nitwits Collection).  I added a musical candle to the birthday cake that plays the tune of Happy Birthday which went down a storm.

Well nighty night but thanks for stopping by and I hope to be back soon.  In the meantime I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Duh! stupid me, I only went and forgot to link my card to the challenges I was wanting to enter.  Oh well I have done it now lol.  See you soon x

Hi everyone

Hope you are all having a good weekend, I certainly am as I have spent the whole day scrapbooking with some great friends and boy did I need it.  It was lovely and relaxing and just what I needed, I even got 2 layouts completed.

As you know I have had real problems with my PC and so haven't had a chance to put on some cards that I had made previously so I thought I would try and show you on now, and yes another Box Card.  This was made for a lady who had seen one of my box cards that I had been commissioned to make for a friend of hers and she asked me to make one for her to give to her Sister.

Sorry about the photo, I didn't realise it was so dark when I took it and as I have only just managed to download them I have only just seen how dark they were.

Hope you like it, she certainly did.  I am entering this into the following challenges.

Crafts and Me - Favourite Stamp/Image

Birthday Card

Gosh I didn't realise how long I had been away.  It started with my laptop dying on me and when I finally got it back I have had a real time of it with blogger then on top of that my mojo had gone walkabout.

I am really getting frustrated with Internet Explorer and blogger as there are so many lovely blogs that I love to visit and am not able to, a couple being Juls at The Glitter Chick and Pinky at Pinky's World.  Every time I visit my computer goes so slow but if I try and leave a comment my computer jams up.  So if you are both reading this I just want you to know that even though I can't comment I still love to see all you fabulous creations.

Even though my mojo has been missing I have still had to get some commissions done and will post them as soon as the events have passed but in the meantime I thought I would share one with you that I made for my mum for her birthday tomorrow.  I used this digi image from Crafts & Me which I think is absolutely gorgeous and is so reasonable at £2.00.

And now I am off to bed as I am shattered tonight, it has been a looooonnnnng week but hey a new one starts tomorrow lol.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafts & Me - Birthday
Allsorts -  Free and Easy
I Love Promarkers - Include Flowers
Birthday Sundaes - Birthday Sentiment
By the Cute & Girly - With Wings
