50th Wedding
It's my parents 50th Wedding anniversary soon and I thought I would show you the invitations that I did for them.
I cut this one out on my Cricut machine using Design Studio and Craft Creations cardstock. I only have the baby bug so am a bit limited to size, I would dearly love the Expression but will have to wait a while for this as I really can't afford it at the moment. The 50th font was Storybook (I love this font). I then added an embossed mat to the front using my cuttlebug. Inside I have added a photo of them now with a smaller photo of their wedding merged into the main one using photoshop. I then typed all the text onto some Letraset Safmat which is similar to Vellum but is sticky all over the back. This was then stuck down over the picture giving it a very soft look.
They were thrilled with them, I hope you like them too. I am starting the favours next week so will post them as soon as I have done them.

Cute Daisy May Challenge Card
Well I am pleased to say that my migraine finally subsided during the morning yesterday enabling me to get some crafting done last night - so much for having all this time on my own while Brian was away to get some quality time crafting, well you know what they say about the best laid plans.
This is my card for the Cute Daisy May challenge this week. The requirement for this challenge was Gems.
I used a scalloped card base from Craftwork Cards. The Pink and Green card is Bazzill bling with some scrap multi colour paper that coordinated with the bling really well. I then added the prima flowers and some crystals.
I must say, I have really fallen for these cute little images so will probably bore you all over the coming weeks, especially as I am loving all this colouring with my promarkers, I think it all stems from my 3 brothers always running off with my colouring books. Benn just looks at me with his eyebrows raised - obviously mum sitting colouring images in while sitting in the car waiting for the football to start is definately un-cool.

I have just been having a blog hop and one of the ones I visit has some fantastic blog candy to celebrate her Blogoversary . . . . I must admit to being totally overwhelmed with what she is giving and would love to receive it, so if you would like to be in with a chance pop over to Debbie's blog, leave a comment and add a link to your blog. She does some lovely cards.

Award
I thought you would like to see a picture of Benn with his new nephew that was taken today. Unfortunately for Benn the hospital do not allow any under 16's in so he had to wait until Amy and Luke were allowed home. As you can see he looks very proud.
I have had a pretty lousy weekend as I suffer with migraines that can last anything from 2 to 4 days. The doctor has now put me on preventative medicine but it didn't stop this one. I had all these good intentions as Brian was away but have not done any of them.
I thought I would just spend a couple of minutes checking a couple of blogs along with mine only to find that a lovely lady called Enfys who I have recently come to know on the Cricut MB has given me an award. I can't tell you how happy I was when I saw it. For anyone who doesn't know Enfys pop on over to her blog here (oh gosh, this worked, thanks En for telling me how to do it) as she creates the most beautiful cards. You will also find yourself laughing along with her when she tells you what she has been up to.
Oh well, I must get off here now as my head is hurting too much now but I am forwarding this award to the following people as I have come to really enjoy chatting to them and love visiting their blogs as well.

Baby Luke
I have just got back from the hospital after meeting baby Luke and he is adorable. He is a tiny little thing but considering he wasn't growing and made his entrance
a couple of weeks early, he is really doing well and may even be allowed home over the weekend as long as his blood sugars become a bit more stable.
Amy is doing really well too and doesn't seem to be in too much pain after the Caesarean, I think her maternal feelings are keeping the pain at bay.
Here is the card I made for them as their nursery theme is Winnie the Pooh and friends. They were going to add lots more Eeyore's if they had a boy and more of piglet if they had a girl.

Blog Candy
Charmed Stamps are giving away some super blog candy. Pop on over leave a message and add a link to their site and you have a great chance of winning. They have a new range of stamps being launch that are just so sweet.
I have recently bought some of their downloads and they are great, especially their Holly and Madison ones, especially for teenagers. They have now bought out a new one called Mickey (Madison's boyfriend).

Baby news
Well today is a really nervous and exciting day. My Stepson and his wife are expecting their first baby in a fortnight but they had been told that baby was breach and back to front. To cut a long story short, they had been scanning her and monitoring her for the last fortnight and yesterday took the decision to give Amy a c-section today. Well as you can imagine we are all nervous but excited at the same time.
Brian my hubby is gutted as he goes away tomorrow for a week. He is hoping to pop in quickly tonight but I will take Benn tomorrow so that Amy at least has a rest before everyone descends on her. Benn is hoping for a Niece as my Stepdaughter has two boys and a girl so wants to even things up, that's children's logic for you.
So tonight I know what I will be doing making a card once we know whether we have a little girl or a little boy.
Have a fun day everyone and I will let you all know later.
--Update-- Amy had a little boy called Luke at 9.52 this morning and he weighed in at 5lb oz. Mum and Baby are both doing fine

Cute Daisy May - Challenge Card
What a beautiful day it has been, I really feel that Summer is on it's way. I am off out in a minute for a girls night out but wanted to add my finished card that I have made for the Cute Daisy May glitter challenge http://cutedaisymay.blogspot.com/
- wish me luck as I am not sure yet whether it will work. I chalked around the image to give it a summery scene then coloured it in with my lovely new Promarkers. The papers are all from DCWV Nana's Nursery. I added a bit of glitter which is hard to see in the photo but gorgeous in real life and finished it off with a sentiment and some card candy from Craftwork Cards.
I hope you like it as it is a real special one for me as it will be my first photo on my new blog and the first time I have ever entered anything into a challenge, apart from the Red, White and Blue one we did on the UK Crafters thread on the Cricut forum.
Thanks for looking and have a lovely evening.

Welcome and Hello
Oh well, here goes. Welcome to my first post, I hope you will stop by regularly.
I had a great weekend this week as first of all I went along to Alexandra Palace for the Big Stamp and Scrapbooking show. I was really excited as I was hoping to buy some of those lovely Magnolia Tilda stamps that seem to be all the rage. I also purchased a set of 12 Promarkers (to go with the 18 I purchased a few days before as I was too impatient to wait for them). I have tonight been having a play with them. I have coloured my first Tilda along with a really cute little Daisy May image that a fellow blogger called Enfys steered me towards after putting a link on her blog, she has just joined their design team, and I must say they really are gorgeous. I will add a photo of my cards as soon as I have worked out how to.
Thanks for dropping in and hope to see you again soon.
