Baby Girl

Had a little bit of time this week to craft which was lovely and also because I needed to make a new baby card for a friend thats brother and sister-in-law had just had a baby. This little image is one of Linnie's new images from Sheet 186 and can be found here, isn't it just too cute.
Well I have had my last day at my old job and am ready to start my new one on Monday. It was a lovely day and I found it very emotional. My boss took us out to lunch and bought me a lovely bouquet of flowers. I am really going to miss them but know that at the end of the day I have made the best decision for our family, doesn't make it any easier though.
Well I hope you all have a lovely weekend, I am hoping for a bit of crafting time and a good read of Tim Holz's new book (yes, it arrived and looks fabulous).

Birthday Magnolia

Well another weekend nearly over so I thought it would be nice to show you a card I have been working on for a friend who celebrates her birthday next week.
Little Tilda is sitting on a lovely box of chocolates from Allota stamps and the background chocolate paper is from a company called Daisie Company. I have also used card candy from Craftwork Cards.
Well off now to watch Dancing on Ice now but don't forget to pop back tomorrow to see my Cute Daisy May challenge card.

Digital Delights

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend so far, at least it has been lovely and sunny today and not snowing like it was yesterday and the day before. I haven't had a lot of time recently for crafting as I have been having a lovely time going out looking at wedding and bridesmaids dresses with my Sister-in-Law to be. I can't believe where the time has gone since Dom proposed to Magda at my parents 50th and it won't be long now before the wedding will be here. All the wedding invitations are now done, just the Order of Service, Bomboniere, menus and placecards now.
Well as I said, not much time for crafting recently so I thought I would show you a card I made recently for someone that had just been diagnosed with cancer. This sweet little image was a freebie from Digital Delights, my background papers were another freebie from Pink Petticoat.
Thanks for looking and I hope to be back showing you a few more cards soon.

Sir Stampalot Challenge & Cute Daisy May

I know I am a little early for my Cute Daisy May DT card this week, but the reason I wanted to show it now was because I wanted to enter it into my blogging buddy's Brenda's (Floral Fantasies) One off Blog Hop and Challenge on behalf of Sir Stampalot that ends tomorrow. If you haven't entered yet there is still time and you never know, you could be the proud owner of a fantastic Big Shot plus lots of other items too.
The reason for this challenge is that Sir Stampalot have just moved premises and wanted to celebrate. The theme for the challenge is "MOVING. Your project can be a card, box, scrapbook l/o, whatever you choose, and can be open to interpretation, moving home, kinetic card, vehicle or as simple as a dangling charm as long as it represents movement.
For my project I have made a spinner card as I thought this would be good for movement (shame you can't see it move in the photo).
The cute little Daisy May image that I have used can be found HERE and isn't she just adorable. I was asked by a lady to make this card for her daughter's 10th Birthday and I thought that this image really fitted the bill as she is just so "Cool", just like the little girls today.
The challenge at Cute Daisy May will go up on Monday so don't forget to pop along then and join in with the fun, we would love to see all your creations. Linnie has been busy drawing so the winner is going to be in for a real treat trying to decide what delightful images to choose.
Happy weekend.

PS. I had already photographed it before I realised I had left the 'r' out of birthday but this has now been changed, good job.

Cute Daisy May - Lavender and Lace

This week over at Cute Daisy May the theme was Lavender & Lace. Well with a beautiful theme like that I had to use this gorgeous image of Daisy sitting by the wishing well, I really fell in love with this image as soon as I saw it, and if you have too and wish to have it you can find it HERE.

I used some backing papers from my stash along with my trusty Promarkers to colour my image, the Lace I picked up at Hobbycraft. I cut out my hearts using the George cartridge from my Cricut machine and the buttons using a Quickutz die. The border was made using my Martha Stewart Doily Lace Punch.

If you fancy playing along, we'd love to see you. I am entering this into the following challenges.

Digital Tuesday - Try a Different Fold
Spoonful of Sugar - Sketch
Stamping for the Weekend - Valentines
Allsorts - Distressed, Buttons and Bow

Dare U to Digi Stamp - Hearts & Valentine

Crazy 4 Challenges - Be MyValentine

Crafty Calendar Challenge - Love & Friendship

Raise the Bar - Heart to Heart Talk

Thanks for looking.

Lily-Boo & By The Cute & Girly February Challenges

Well it is that time again, the 1st of the month. So for all you lovely people that like their challenges this means that there are new ones out there for you in blogland the first being Lily-Boo. This month we were asked to use a recipe of 1 Tag an 1 Ribbon and with this in mind I set about doing a new baby card using one of Sam's new image sheets that can be found here. You have until 28th February to get your entries in, and don't forget, you can win 2 Lily-Boo sets of your choice. You are not limited to using Lily-Boo images but we would love it if you did as it is always nice to see how others find inspiration when using them, but equally it doesn't matter if you don't.

My second card is for the By the Cute & Girly where this month's challenge is LOVE. I made this card using the new Deco Folies CD from My Craft Studio. This is one of the pre-made cards on the CD which is great when those all too busy times get in your way of crafting. It really is a lovely CD and has some fantastic images that remind me of those very expensive cards that you can buy in the card shops, and also my Mum's favourites. I added some stickles on her hat and added a sentiment.

I hope you will all join us again this month as we love to see what you all come up with. The great thing about this challenge blog is that you can produce any creation you like and are not limited to just cards. It's a good job the rest of the DT girls are so talented as, if it was left to me you would be very dissapointed. I am hopeless at anything other than cards lol. I can't go round corners so knitting is out and my needlework is horrendous (my mum had to finish my exam project for school but I never told her it was my exam, mind you she got 10/10 so I think this helped her to not kill me when she found out).

Hope you have enjoyed looking and I will hopefully be back soon with some more creations.
