Hi bloggers, hope you have had a good week. Mine was a bit eventful with Benn going and breaking his foot. Apparently he hurt it first on Monday during PE but didn't tell me so I took him as normal to football training on Wednesday only to have him injure it again. By this time his foot was nice and swollen with a lovely big lump on the side of his foot. He thinks it is great though as he now has a plaster cast on it and crutches which apparently is really "COOL". I thought it best not to mention that it will be itching him like mad in a couple of days and let him enjoy the novelty while it lasts. The worst thing for him I think was Mum having to take that all important photo to scrapbook of him having his plaster fitted - well you have to record these moments don't you, at least the nurse thought it was fun.
Has anyone got hold of the 2nd Issue of the Magnolia Ink magazine yet? I have and it is fabulous again. I am loving seeing what all the fabulous designers have come up with to inspire us.
In the first issue they had a competition to use a sketch and this is what I came up with, unfortunately it win, not that I expected to with so many talented designers out there, but it was fun entering.
This image was from the Winter 2008 collection called "Waiting Tilda". Isn't she just adorable.
Thanks for stopping by but come back again tomorrow as I will have my Cute Daisy May card to show you ready for this weeks challenge.
Oh so pretty Max. And you got the new Tilda magazie already ?? Still waiting for the delivery here.
ReplyDeleteHope Benn get's on OK, funny how cool they always think these things are. I remember breaking my arm when I was ten falling off my pony at a show and I was so thrilled to be taken to hospital in a horse box. Somehow it was not the same when I broke my foot a few years ago falling over walking the course before I even got on a horse.

Hi Max. Lovely card. I have my issue of Magnolia Ink too. I just keep drooling over the creations in it. I think I might attempt their challenge.
ReplyDeleteHope Bens foot heals soon. Glad I am not the only mum who takes pics of their childrens injuries for scrapbooks!!!! As Daniel has been accident prone since birth I have hundreds of photo's to put in a scrapbook!!!!!

Your card is lovely - a pity it didn't win though. I'd love to get hold of the magazine - will have to see if I can find a supplier. Hope Ben is getting on OK with his plaster.
