Cute Daisy May - Vintage

Sorry everyone, I am a bit late posting my Cute Daisy May challenge card this week but here it is now.
This week the theme was chosen by Becky where she wanted to see vintage. Well I don't normally do vintage, I love to look but never know where to start so this really was a challenge for me. I hope that you think I have captured it right.

Magnolia Ink

Hi bloggers, hope you have had a good week. Mine was a bit eventful with Benn going and breaking his foot. Apparently he hurt it first on Monday during PE but didn't tell me so I took him as normal to football training on Wednesday only to have him injure it again. By this time his foot was nice and swollen with a lovely big lump on the side of his foot. He thinks it is great though as he now has a plaster cast on it and crutches which apparently is really "COOL". I thought it best not to mention that it will be itching him like mad in a couple of days and let him enjoy the novelty while it lasts. The worst thing for him I think was Mum having to take that all important photo to scrapbook of him having his plaster fitted - well you have to record these moments don't you, at least the nurse thought it was fun.
Has anyone got hold of the 2nd Issue of the Magnolia Ink magazine yet? I have and it is fabulous again. I am loving seeing what all the fabulous designers have come up with to inspire us.
In the first issue they had a competition to use a sketch and this is what I came up with, unfortunately it win, not that I expected to with so many talented designers out there, but it was fun entering.
This image was from the Winter 2008 collection called "Waiting Tilda". Isn't she just adorable.
Thanks for stopping by but come back again tomorrow as I will have my Cute Daisy May card to show you ready for this weeks challenge.

Back to Nature - Polkadoodles.

Do you remember me telling you that I had been extremely lucky by winning the Christmas Polkadoodle challenge. Well my fabulous prize came last week of the Daisy Doodle rubber stamps and the fabulous Back to Nature CD, and I can honestly say, it truly is fabulous.

There is so much on this CD it is hard to know where to start. I am even startin to stroke the computer now to try and touch these lovely papers lol (oh no, I really think I am ready for the crafty nuthouse now).

Anyway, I had to make a very quick get well card for a lady who is mad on dogs and thought that this CD would be great. That is the beauty with this CD, you can be as creative as you like but if you are pressed for time, like I was, then there is everything there for you to just print out and add to your base. Hope you like it.

New Baby

Has all the snow melted near you, it has here and we have been blessed with brilliant sunshine today, you'd never know that we were all snowed in last week.
I have a couple of cards to share with you today, a couple that I made for By the Cute and Girly where this month the them was something NEW. I decided to try my hand at doing a little decoupage as I haven't done any for a long time now. These images are so sweet, I got them a couple of years ago so am not able to share with you where I purchased them from but I think they are dutch origin. Have you entered the challenge yet as there is still time and we would love to see what NEW creations you all come up with.
Thanks for dropping by.

One off Challenge and Blog Hop

Hi everyone, I have some exciting news to share with you today. My DT buddy Brenda from Floral Fantasies is hosting a fabulous One-off Challenge and Blog Hop starting on the 1st February, with a rather special candy as the main prize and no ordinary candy, but a really serious piece of equipment that we would all love to have in our craft rooms. Apart from the main piece of candy there will also be other prizes to be won too.

But to be in with a chance to win Brenda needs all your help to spread the word and make this as much fun as possible and there will also be a prize for doing this. So what you need to do now is

Give the challenge a plug on your own blog

Add the above logo on your side bar with a link back to Brenda

Leave Brenda a comment on her special challenge and blog hop post to let her know that you have entered where the prize for this will be drawn on 31st January.

So what are you waiting for, go and enter.

Hubby's Valentines Card

Are you all having a lovely time with the snow. I know I am as I love playing in it but don't enjoy driving I think it is enough now. The kids are certainly enjoying it though and it is nice for them to see what it used to be like when we were kids.
Well onto this weeks challenge at Cute Daisy May. DT member Katie chose the challenge this week of flowers and ribbon and I mut say, what a fabulous one. I decided to use Sassy Daisy blowing kisses to whoever it is she loves (in my case my ever patient hubby). I am entering this into the following challenges.

Digital Tuesday: Valentines
Crafty Creations: Black, White and a Splash of Colour
Polkadoodles: Song Title (Loving You by Minnie Riperton)

Why don't you pop over and see what the rest of the DT have come up with as you are in for a treat, they are fantastic, and while you are there why don't you play along. Don't forget, you don't even have to use a CDM image.

Materials Used:

Base card: Craftwork Card 8x8 Back to Basics
Papers: Pink Petticoat & Shabby
Embellishments: Flowers & Ribbon from my stash

Snow, snow and snow

Hope everyone is enjoying the snow, the kids are for sure but it certainly is treacherous out there. I started out for work (20 miles away) when my boss rang and told me to turn round and go back home. I have had some fun with Benn who has now gone out with his friends and am wrapped up warmly with a nice hot cup of coffee.

I don't have a card today but thought you make like to see my little furball (Coton du Tulear) in the snow this morning. He absolutely loves it and goes bananas running around in it. The only problem is the snow sticks to his fur which is just like cotton wool (hence his breed name) and makes huge ice balls making it impossible for him to move his legs in the end but that still doesn't deter him, I just end up having to put him in the bath to desfrost him lol

Well whatever you are doing, do it safely.

Lily Boo - Valentines

This month over at Lily-Boo Too the theme is Valentines and I must say the DT have really pushed the boat out this month, why don't you pop on over and take a look . This gorgeous little image is one from the Wedding Collection that can be found here, and the others are adorable too. Sam is going to be adding some more collections in the next week and I have to say, you will not be dissapointed, they are adorable. Just think, if you enter the challenge you could even win a couple of these downloads too, hope to see you there.

By The Cute and Girly - New

Our first challenge of the New Year over at By The Cute & Girly is NEW . This is a great theme as it can cover so many options from Weddings, New Home, New Baby, New Beginnings, in fact anything NEW. It would be lovely if you would come and play along as we have some fantastic sponsors along with some great prizes. The challenge is open for a whole month which gives you plenty of time and you never know, you could be one of this months winners.

I made this card ready for a wedding I have in a couple of weeks. I welded 2 hearts together with Design Studio using my wedding cartridge, increasing in size for each layer. The little cake and bell diecuts were also cut out from this cartridge. I finished it off by making a matching box with an acetate front to fit.

Hope the bride and groom like it as I must admit to being very pleased with how it came out.

Cute Daisy May - Love

Happy 2010 everyone, I hope you all had a good one and are not feeling the after effects too badly. Ok, I shall speak very quietly then.

The first challenge of the year at CDM
is to create a card based on Love. I have used one of Linnie's brand new images and aren't they just so cute.

Base Card: Craftwork Cards Back to Basics

BP: Bearly Mine Designs - Designer Extreme Volume III
